LOUISVILLE, Colo., March 13, 2014 – Inovonics, a leading provider of enterprise life safety and specialized commercial wireless systems, today announced it is sponsoring a panel entitled, “Beyond School Shootings: Everyday Violence in K-12 Schools and Methods for Prevention,” on Wednesday, April 2 from 11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. at ISC West 2014 in Las Vegas, NV. Expert panelists will offer a variety of perspectives and real-world insights regarding everyday school violence and offer suggested methodologies for helping avert safety risks in K-12 schools.

“School safety in these highly dynamic and mobile K-12 environments is a rapidly escalating concern right now,” explained Mark Jarman, president of Inovonics. “ISC West offers a great opportunity to bring together highly regarded experts to share their real-world experiences regarding school safety so that folks in charge of security in these environments can leave with a better idea of what’s needed, what’s available and what works, to help keep our children safe.”

The panel is designed to educate the audience on how to identify and help avert everyday school issues surrounding and leading up to violence. Panelists will explore the contributing factors, such as the impact of bullying on youth and the consequences when warning signs are left unchecked. The experts will share insights into the mindset behind school violence and the current culture of schools from an administrative perspective.
