First open standards compliant device is recognized for its ability to integrate and manage commercial wireless intrusion devices over an IP network

LOUISVILLE, CO, Sept. 4, 2013 – Inovonics, the industry leader in high-performance wireless sensor networks for commercial and life safety applications, today announced it has won Security Product Magazine’s New Product of the Year Award for its EN6080 Area Control Gateway in the Wireless Technologies category.

The industry’s first PSIA compliant device, the EN6080 ACG provides IP-based interoperability of Inovonics’ commercial wireless intrusion devices with leading access control, video and area control systems. The EN6080 ACG also received honorable mention at ISC West 2013 for Security Industry Association’s New Product Showcase.

Security Products Magazine’s New Product of the Year Award honors the outstanding product development achievements of security equipment manufacturers whose products are considered to be particularly noteworthy in their ability to improve security. More than 90 entries were received in the fifth successful year of this contest. Winners were honored in 24 product award categories.

Winners will be recognized at ASIS International 2013 in Chicago September 24-26. They also will be featured on Security Products Magazine and will be highlighted in its December 2013 issue.
